Why you should vote ✘ Welsh Trade Unionist and Socialist on May 7:
Welsh Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition
Socialist Party members are helping the campaign and strike of NHS health visitors in Wales for fair pay on the correct pay band that matches their skills.
Health visitors play a vital life-saving role protecting the health of new-born babies and their parents, but they are paid on the wrong pay band for their skills.
Labour politicians talk a lot about equal pay but it always equal pay DOWNWARDS to the lowest pay band. And they refuse to even meet the health visitors to discuss fair pay.
We say bring the health visitors pay UP to the correct band and pay them what they are worth.
The Socialist Party is standing in this election as part of the Welsh Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC).
We're the ones leading in uniting our workplaces and communities in campaigns for the rights and resources we need – to cut across racism, blame, and division.
We refuse to accept that working-class people, our NHS and public services, have to foot the bill for the problems caused by the billionaires.
We campaign for the trade unions – as member- led, democratic organisations representing workers and communities – to cut ties with Labour and build a new party of the working class.
No other option on the ballot paper pledges to vote against ALL CUTS to our NHS and public services.
John Williams is a hospitality worker, LGBT+ activist, and chair of the Cardiff General branch of the union Unite.
Helen Perriam is a nurse and Unison member, who has seen first-hand what Labour and Tory cuts and privatisation have done to our NHS.
Dave Bartlett is secretary of Cardiff Trades Union Council and led the successful campaign to save health facilities at Cardiff Royal Infirmary.
